We oftentimes focus on what is new:
New objectives
New tasks
Extending data and analyses to improve results
Many people forget to also focus on simplicity.
Improvement and innovation can be reached by reducing or omitting work and data that does not serve its purpose any longer.
Taking over new stuff is exciting in the first place, but can lead to overwhelm if not combined with a clear focus, priority setting, and therefore also omission of existing tasks and processes.
Dare to question your own and your team’s work standards on a daily basis. Carefully observe and let go of what is not needed anymore.
