Three Pictures of the Self

We tend to believe that the world is how we see it.

We think that people are the way we perceive them.

We are convinced that the picture of ourselves is correct.

 

Yet, there are always at least three versions of the self:

 

How I see myself. 

How another person sees me.

How I think that the others see me. 

 

Don’t overthink how you might be perceived. 

Self reflection is important, but focus more on what others actually tell you and what you do with that feedback instead of ruminating about potential perception.

 

One thing is certain: You will never ever know what others truly think about you and therefore it is crucial to stop worrying. 

 

You are fine the way you are. And you can use your potential and may choose to grow constantly.
