Note to myself as a leader: 


When having a stressful day - for whatever reason - and I am supposed to be in 1:1s (individual meetings with my directs), I have the right to openly address my feelings and say,


"I’m having a stressful day/I don’t feel well/I feel pressured today - let’s talk tomorrow."


Giving one hundred percent looks different on each day. Sometimes, taking care of myself outweighs the regular exchange with my team.
